Welcome to Mindful Monday!

The last time I wrote was before my maternity leave in November…

Needless to say, life has been a bit, well, busy lately…

Teaching High School, having two small children, having a home to maintain and the list goes on…and on…and on…

Its all about the list right? The NEVER ending to do list.

That is why we are all here, right? To relax our minds in this space. To breathe. To simply just BE.

So, with that being said, lets practice peace…together.

Close your eyes and take a deep breath, even if it is just for a brief moment.

Put your hand on your belly.

Exhale in.

Exhale out.

CHOOSE to breathe WITH life.

ACCEPTING life right now, as it is.

Accepting our hardships is a very difficult thing to do, but it helps move WITH life instead AWAY from it. It is kind of like choosing to climb down a mountain rather than up it.

So, choose something to accept right NOW. No matter how small or big it might be. CHOOSE to accept it. CHOOSE peace.

Do you feel a little lighter?

By practicing acceptance you create less resistance to the present moment.

Because when we choose to resist WHAT IS, we make life harder than it has to be.

Now, say a quick prayer. It can be something like “Please help me with this task today, Lord.” Or it can be a prayer about something more significant.

In this quiet space, connect with God.

Remember “My peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give unto you” John 14:27.
