1). Pray before you meditate
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God” Phillipians 4:6-7
Do you have any concerns, worries, or problems that you may be facing? Sometimes the stress from life can weigh us down. This can cause us to feel helpless, alone, and hopeless. BUT, prayer turns these problems into solutions.
So, begin to pray for anything and everything that is weighing you down. Once you are done praying, close your eyes and begin the meditation process.
2). Meditate and Listen
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you” Matthew 7:7
Trust that Jesus will answer your prayer, in one way or another. Often times He whispers to us in our own voice, in an idea or inspiration we might get, or through our feelings. It is important to listen as we meditate and believe that He will respond to us.
Below are the tips regarding how to meditate:
-Sit/lie down in a comfortable position
-Close your eyes
-Focus on your breath
–When thoughts enter your mind, continue to focus on your breath. *It is normal for your mind to wander!
3). Let go!
“If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you” Luke 17:6
The relationship that we have with Jesus is similar to any other relationship that we may have. We trust and depend on our family and friends to be there for us. It is no different with Jesus!
The Chaplet of Divine Mercy states “I have opened My Heart as a living fountain of mercy. Let all souls draw life from it. Let them approach this sea of mercy with great trust (Diary, 1520). On the cross, the fountain of My mercy was opened wide by the lance for all souls — no one have I excluded! (1182). I am offering people a vessel with which they are to keep coming for graces to the fountain of mercy. That vessel is this image with the signature: “Jesus, I trust in You” (327). The graces of My mercy are drawn by means of one vessel only, and that is — trust. The more a soul trusts, the more it will receive (1578)”
The more you trust Jesus, the more He will bless you and be able to work in and through you. If we have unwavering faith in this journey of life, we will begin to see miracles.
I am Love and Mercy itself. When a soul approaches Me with trust, I fill it with such an abundance of graces that it cannot contain them within itself, but radiates them to other souls (1074).
